Episode #1: Sex Education

Hello hello!

The whole idea of us creating a podcast came from a day we both joked about having our own podcast. We just happened to have taken ourselves a little too seriously and now we have our first of, hopefully, many episodes.

Because we have a lot of material that we discuss throughout the episode, we’re creating blog posts to provide some helpful (and hopefully interesting) links that we used for reference throughout the episode! We're also including some links to related material for any further research you would like to do on your own!

Links to things of interest:

We referenced a bunch of stuff in this episode. For those of you that would like to see the data yourselves, here are links to the sources we discussed.

Sexual Risk Behaviors: HIV, STD, & Teen Pregnancy Prevention

Our Guest:

For this episode we invited Dr. Robert Jensen, one of the brilliant professors of the School of Journalism at The University of Texas at Austin.

A few people had suggested we have him as our first guest because of his relevant work and research on gender, sexuality, and pornography. Plus, he’s just great to talk to. For any of y’all that are more interested in these topics, Dr. Jensen has a bunch more that he’s worked on that you can find on his website. This includes his books, Getting Off: Pornography and the End of Masculinity and End of Patriarchy: Radical Feminism for Men.
